Nestled on the "Quietside" of Mount Desert Island, The Kingsleigh Inn sits in the heart of the village of Southwest Harbor, Maine just one hundred yards from the water. This turn of the century, turreted Queen Anne Victorian was built in 1904 as a private home and has been beautifully maintained and most recently restored in 2005. The atmosphere is both elegant and casual. The inn is situated amongst numerous shops, restaurants, museums and the public library.

We are located in the center of town surrounded by Acadia National Park and are just minutes from a number of trails, lakes and the gorgeous, rocky, oceanside cliffs at Bass Harbor Lighthouse. Bar Harbor is just a twenty minute drive for those that love the countless shops, restaurants and tourist sights but prefer to come back to the tranquility of the "Quietside" at The Kingsleigh Inn.
